Raised in the small town of Lexington, IL. Laurie knew from an early age, music was her passion. Music made her feel alive and gave her a creative outlet to express herself. She has spent the last four years in Nashville working on her sound and what she wants to say as an artist. Laurie is unique to the country music format, and her stage performance is one to be reckoned with. Laurie has shared the stage with such acts as Lonestar, Montgomery / Gentry, Diamond Rio, Keith Urban, Jo Dee Massina and many others along the way. She has put in the time both on the stage and in the studio. Working along side Dean Sams (producer of her first album) Justin Niebank
(accomplished engineer and producer who mixed Laurie’s project and is a fan of her and her music) In his words “What’s not to like? Great sound, great songs, great girl!” Ben Fowler (Ben tracked Laurie’s project has worked with many great acts over the years.) He believes Laurie has everything it takes to be successful. The “Starr” camp is endless and full of heavy hitters who know what a great artist should be. Laurie has also spent the last few years writing with some of Nashville’s top writers to be able to say things she wants to say with her music. She recorded one of her songs for this project “That’s The Sound.” It’s a song about the strength of a woman, walking out on a bad relationship, with a lot of courage. It’s a celebration of finding happiness in life. Taking a chance and just making a change. One listen of her songs, the passion in which she performs live at her shows, one conversation to see the heart in which she gives it all, and that connection she makes with everyone she meets, you will know what many already know.
Laurie is at the heart of what country music is all about
